Filter Bags
Filter bags clean particles out of the air by passing them through filtering media in the form of a tubed bag. In a typical installation, there may be hundreds or even thousands of individual filter bag designs.

In this design, the filter bags are open at the top and closed at the bottom. The supporting cylindrical cages prevent the fabric from collapsing.
In reverse air cleaned installations, the bags are supported by and tensioned to a structural framework at the top (end cap and spring tensioner) and clamped to a thimble welded to the tube plate/sheet at the bottom.
The term Shaker Style filter bag is used to describe a type of fabric filter that is literally cleaned by shaking or agitating the filter media.
