Cages

What is the purpose of a cage?
- To supply support to the bag media (Support off fabric during the operation cycle)
- To support with the cleaning of the filter media – (flexing of the filter media)
- The filter bag and cage operate together to provide the required sealing and support.
- Bag-to-cage fit is very important for optimum filtration performance.
EFT supplies cages for use in specific industry applications. These wire cages are manufactured by a process that involves pulling wire off a coil, passing it through a straightening die, after which it is cut to precise lengths. Individual stringer wires are loaded into a die which maintains the exact spacing of the wire for structural integrity.
These cages can be specially coated by EFT for high temperature or chemically active gas streams. Such a coating forms a barrier around the steel, which is a cost-effective method of combatting component failure.

Venturis

EFT can supply all major types and designs of venturis for your filter bag and cartridge system.
Why choose Venturis:
- Are necessary to impart a flow of secondary air on cleaning.
- Optimizes energy use resulting in more efficient cleaning.
- Less Air consumption.
- Minimizes energy cost.
Design:
- For the length and size of the venturi the total length of the bag should be taken into consideration.
- The venturi stabilize the cage – (it does not waggle)
- The collar and flange design must be correct – the venturi must rest on the tube plate – should NOT be pressing on the snapband.
- Should be welded up straight onto wires.
Supplied in the following materials:
- Carbon Steel
- Galvanized Steel
- Stainless Steel
- Aluminium
